oh! more snow!

oh! more snow!

Well we got that much appreciated (ahem!) snow. And now on top of that it's been raining all day. What messy weather! Phew, that snow weighed a tonne. All I can say is that I'm thankful for the person that invented the snowblower.

Lilah of course couldn't have cared less that is was raining and had as much fun as she normally does outside - climbing our "snow mountains" and rolling down them. I'm also thankful for a girl that doesn't seem to mind our crazy artic weather - in fact, I don't think I'd be exaggerating by saying she actually enjoys it. I think she enjoys eating the snow too.

  1. I really love the colors in that hat--it's beautiful!

How do you like the lens so far? Your photos look great--I can really see the texture in the yarn in that first photo.

  4. Hi Mary-Karen!

Yes, wherever the camera focuses, the detail is impecable. The only thing I'm finding is that many of the shots are out of focus, but it definitely doesn't turn me off! I love the blur/bokeh that comes with the high aperture on this lens too. As Paige rightly said, this lens works best for portrait shots, that's definitely it's 'thing'! :)

Most of these shots have that same detail as the first one, where you can see the yarn and the rain falling. It's just because the others are a lot smaller in size (on my blog), you can't actually see the detail.

It's certainly a great lens for the price!

  5. She is so adorable with her little rosy cheeks, and you're right, it looks like she doesn't mind the cold one bit. That new lens is great! I'm sure your having a lot of fun breaking it in, too. Gin =)

  6. Spring has to be here soon, right? We're having the same weather. At least Lilah seems to love it, she looks so cute shovelling all that white stuff.
