"i'm so thirst-night"

Driving home from Bible Study last night:

Lilah: "Mama, I'm so thirst-night."
Me: "Huh?"
Lilah: "I'm thirst-night."
Me: "I don't know what you're saying sweetie. Say it again?"
Lilah: Looks at me, grins and says... "I'm just Thirst-day Mama!"

*grin*

Who knew you could be thirst-day or thirst-night depending on whether it's light or dark outside! She's given the word 'thirsty' a whole new concept now.

Our Lilah girl got her first wasp sting yesterday while out playing in her little paddling pool. First I saw her pick up an ant and squash it with her fingers. A few minutes later she came over to me and said "Ouch, the fly hurt me". I hadn't seen what happened, so it took me a minute or two to get out of her that the 'fly' was yellow and black and it was walking on her plate with the cherries. It seems she thought she could pick the wasp up and squash it too. Within a few minutes the top part of her middle finger started to swell until the skin was really tight. I brought her inside, ran it under cold water, put some ice on it and then when I saw she wasn't having any allergic reactions, gave her some ibuprofen. Later on she woke from her nap and told me "It's all better again", sure enough the swelling had gone down. Poor girly - I don't think she'll be taking on any more wasps.

My beautiful smart funny little sweetheart! I love her so.
