We just wanted you to know that we do live a "real life" here and it isn't all sunshine and rainbows!

  2. I'm not convinced about this "real life" thing. When I'm wearing that expression, I'm generally not wearing adorable, perfectly coordinated clothing like Lilah's. ;)

  3. I know and it was dark way too early! YIKES!

  4. Haha Amy!
I'd just put the hat on her and we were heading out, to IKEA I might add, and she fell apart. Actually, the thought of snowmen right now makes me feel like crying too! Maybe putting this skirt on her this morning wasn't my brightest idea! ;)

  5. Too funny. I was thinking the same thing as Amy! Good for you for capturing this on camera. It's a very sweet image of yet another aspect of childhood / parenthood.

  6. Ohh, bless her little heart! Lilah makes even a meltdown look adorable. Kerry does NOT do well if nap time is delayed, either.

  7. Oh goodness. Poor little mite. I know just how she feels. (And I agree about the snowmen. ;)

  8. We're dealing with the same thing around here. Grumpy children and grumpy parents. Lilah still looks so cute though.

  9. Jill,

Poor baby... I have to admit though that I'm tickled with this post. I LOVE your post and seeing your beautiful Lila "caught" on camera by her mama's beautiful photography!! This "catch" reminds me so of my girl at her age.

    Have a blessed day!

  11. We agree!! I had to put the kids to bed at 7:30 last night because they were both having a meltdown. 'Tis the season!! Hope she adjusts quickly!

  12. No, we didn't like that one bit in our house either. The girls were up way too early for both themselves and us parents and yes...we did have meltdowns over nothing in the afternoon and the days to follow.

That is one cute little cardigan Lilah is wearing!

  13. Too.
    Darn.
    Cute.

I think that's what I like about you and your blog...you love every minute of being Lilah's Mommy--even the rough days!

  14. I felt the same way Lilah! Only no one took a picture of me :)

  15. Even though she is crying in this photo, it is a beautiful capture of a precious moment... even these moments are ones we want to remember! How sweet she is.
