butterflies at carleton university

Carleton University Butterflies

We did something pretty incredible today. We went to the Butterfly Show in the Biology Department of the Carleton University, here in Ottawa. In fact, it's literally just down the street from where we live.

And we got to experience butterflies.

Real live butterflies.

There was a fake one there too. One that I had picked out a nice red dress for, so she would attract the butterflies, but no red dress would do. She wanted to be a butterfly herself. Might I add, a mighty cute one!

We had such a wonderful time. I sliced up an orange for the butterflies and we brought it along. Lilah thought the slices were for her and helped herself to a few! (We're working on the sharing thing, even with the butterflies. Heh!)

And now that I know the university does this annually, we might just get our butterfly fix every year!

  5. Jill, you are such a great Mom! What a wonderful event! I wished they had more to do around here...I have a friend that moved here from Ottawa, and thats what she misses the most...all the cultural/educational outings she was able to take her kids on. Love the pictures!
