dollar store paint set

I can't think of a better way to spend a Monday: Bike ride around the Canal, a quick stop to play at the park, Tim Hortons for lunch and a walk to the Dollar Store for some crafty goodness. The crafty goodness was indeed a paint set. See the following pictures.

  1. First of all...we LOVE Tim Horton's (or, as we call it "T-Hooooo's!). We once took a road trip from Montreal to Ottawa and stopped at pretty much every one along the way. Then when we moved to Providence we were so happy that there was one five minutes from us. Yup. We miss it. :)

Lilah's a natural! I love her painting! Are you starting a gallery for her growing collection?

  2. You can tell this is Lilah's thing to do!!! Such intensity and pride in her work:-). I have to add.... what an incredibly neat artist!! My mouth literally fell open when I saw in your pictures the tablecloth she was painting on. That could NEVER happen in our house. Last weekend we had a rainy Sat. and I broke out the paints. I haven't posted the pitures yet, but lets just say the kids had loads of fun, but I had one HUGE mess to clean up afterwards...thank goodness for washable paints!!

Oh...and hats off to you for making moon cakes!! The thought crossed my mind...I pulled up a couple traditional recipes, and that was it....off to the chinese market to buy some..LOL! I did find a kid friendly version that I would like to try next year...I think about 5 ingredients and you use jam for the 'moon'...my kind of moon cakes.

    Blessings,
    Tami

  3. Traci!
Tim Hooooo's sounds much better than what Lilah calls it, Tim Fortons! :) Her growing collection of art pieces are currently covering her fingerprints on the stainless fridge! :)

    Tami!
The tablecloth is totally wash and go! And yes, like you say, thank goodness for washable paints! :) I also saw that recipe online for the 'easy' mooncakes, I thought about using it this year. Next year I definitely will be, all being well!
