an inevitable calamity

calamity jane

For about a week now we've constantly been saying to Lilah, 'don't run too fast', 'watch your head', 'take it easy', etc. She's been banging her head on things, walking backwards into things, tripping over anything, everything and nothing. Is this normal? The thing is, Lilah is usually quite careful. Anyway, I guess it was inevitable, the calamity happened this morning, she tripped on a toy, (a pretty big one too) and fell right onto it. Poor little Lilah, it sure looks sore and an extremely close shave with those perfect little eyes.

Some good news, Lilah's visa arrived in the mail today and we are taking a trip to N.Ireland soon. We are so excited and I have a funny feeling Lilah's grandparents, uncles, aunts and cousins are too! I can see lots of extra spoiling and loving in Lilah's future!

  1. Ouch! I hope she is okay. Has her vision been checked? I only ask because you mention that lately she has been falling over things. I plan to have Kate's checked soon.

  2. Oh the poor wee pet!! it was pretty close to her eye hope it heals soon.

Soooooo pleased the visa arrived cant wait to see you in N ireland!! keep a day free for us!! see you soon!

    lots of love

  3. Good Morning Miss Lilah,

Ohhhhhhh. I'm so sorry about your boo boo. Yes, I think this is normal, as my 5 year old granddaughter just falls off the chair for no reason or just walks into people and walls and such! It's a growth thing I think.

Oh my, you're going to Ireland. I LOVE Ireland! We actually lived in Tipperary, Ireland for several years. Please put lots and lots of pictures on your blog, OK?

    Have a great day,

    Miss Lila in Atlanta

  4. Woo hoo ... we'll have to meet up!!!

  5. Awww, poor sweet girl. I'm so sorry for her. Yes, it's normal; yes, it could be her eye sight?! They also get to that age where their head is heavier than their body!...get moving too fast and kaboom. Ouchy. She's still gorgeous though.
