We have a new Saturday tradition now, a family bike ride.
I absolutely love where we live. The canal, the river, the restaurants, the weather... bliss.
We generally try a different route each week to change it up.
This past week we biked from our house, down the Rideau Canal to the locks and then along the Ottawa River Parkway (bikepath) to Remic Rapids - where a guy does 'stone balancing' art - really neat! And the girls had a little paddle in there too, it was a hot day! We also passed by the 'love locks' on the pedestrian bridge over the canal, stopped into the Bytown Museum for a popsicle break and on our way home, we had lunch at the Mill Street restaurant... yum!
I love summer and family time together!
