another day at sandbanks

Sandbanks, Picton, Day 4

The main reason for this kind of holiday is to hang out at the beach. Our hotel has a beautiful outdoor pool, but you can pretty much go to a pool any day of the week. But the beach, not so much!

So we packed up in the absolutley gorgeous sunshine and headed to the beach again. Just in case anyone is wondering and I thought I would mention it since I was asked on a previous post which beach this one is. There are a few in the area, this one is known as the 'outlet beach'.

Have I mentioned I could live here? I have a funny feeling our little water/beach bug could too! As soon as we arrived she ran down to the water and dipped her little bum in, funny girl! Oh, and she wrote her name in the wet sand today, well the first time she did it a wave washed it away within seconds, but she went right back and wrote it again. It's so precious to see her do this kind of thing now, and seeing how proud she is when she does it too!

Towards the late afternoon we took a long walk on the beach and Lilah got to fly her kite. The perfect end to another perfect day.

  4. Jill,

These photos are fantastic! I love your perspective.

good for Lilah writing her name so well - these girls better stop growing up - and yet it is wonderful as they gain new skills!

Enjoy the rest of your holiday!
