the yo-yo!

Today Lilah had a show and tell at school.

She's in French Immersion this year, which basically means, she's being immersed in the French language, her whole day is taught in French and she is bringing French books home to read every night. To be honest, I'm having more trouble than she is! What was life like before Google and all this online help? Phew!

Anyway, I'm so proud of how well she has done this year. She really enjoys school, her class friends and her teacher.

This month her show and tell was the letter Y. The object name had to start with Y, in both the English and French version of the word. Well, we decided on 'yoyo'.. because in all honesty, there weren't a whole lot of other options! We dropped by the dollar store, bought a yoyo and I set to work, showing her how to handle a yoyo. It didn't take my determined little girly too long to get the hang of the yoyo! She even told me it was the most favourite thing I'd ever bought her!

And it sounded like the show and tell went great too!

  2. Look at your determined girl! Love her "can do" attitude. She is amazing at picking up new things isn't she!? And how nice that she'll have a second language which I'm sure she'll also pick up at lightning speed.

    Gin =)
