Intuitively, you knew it was a strong shot as you featured it that day. Your instincts are solid, your talent accomplished, your subject exquisite. Go with your gut.
Lilah's a natural beauty and one's knee-jerk response would be to put forth one of her many beauty shots, but look through the hundreds of entries you beat out, that's what everyone offers up for competition.
Your photo was unique, charming, with the element of surprise. Most of all, it told a story.
