raspberries and an 'end of winter' walk

her favourite, raspberries her favourite, raspberries her favourite, raspberries

Lilah loves loves loves raspberries.

Or maybe it's the way she eats them, that she enjoys the most. Either way, we're going to have to find a raspberry farm over the summer and pick ourselves some of these yummies.

Speaking of the summer season, spring has been dragging it's heels and I'm not the least bit amused! We are SO beyond ready for it. Today, after gorging on those summer raspberries, we took a little walk down to the river to feed the ducks. (Or should I say, feed the gazillion seagulls, which turned into a seagull flying-diving-squawking fest! It was rather entertaining to say the least.) The sun was shining, and now we just need some green, oh how I miss the green leaves and grass and colourful flowers! Lately, while out driving, I've even caught myself daydreaming about how the trees look full of leaves.

This weekend, all being well, it's supposed to be a sunny 10°C and I couldn't be happier!

  1. I love these photos. Lilah looks like she enjoys a good outdoor adventure as much as Kerry does. She's always dressed so cute, I love her hat and glasses.

These pictures are stunning and do makes this crazy early spring weather look fabulous. It gives me an appreciation to the transition in to spring.

But, I don't like you saying "winter walk"! You silly woman! LOL!

  5. Haha Lea! As long as there's snow on the ground and in the forecast, I'm calling it winter. :)

It is an early spring, that's for sure. Although, I must admit, since I've been a stay-at-home mom, I've noticed the winters seem SO much longer...!

    Happy Spring!

  8. I'd be happy to trade off a bit of our WARM for a bit of your COLD!!! We seem to be skipping over Spring and hopping right in to Summer!! Sigh. 98*F today then back down to 80*F by Monday! Strange isn't it? I love that last photo of the crazy seagulls! And as always I love every single photo you take of Miss Lilah Grace! She melts my heart time and time again!

  10. Love the raspberry shots. Your weather sounds so nice, we just got back from the mountains and had to drive out in a blizzard this morning, but the further north we got towards our home, the better it got and warmer too! I hope this is it and spring is finally here!
