a passion for music

a passion for music

If our Gracie girl isn't singing around the house, she's more than likely playing a musical instrument. She's got a guitar, a tambourine, a harmonica, a xylophone and a recorder. The newest addition to her collection is the trumpet. It's a four key air trumpet, costs $19.99 from Mrs. Tiggy Winkles and it's the 'next best thing', from what I can see, so far!

The girl has a real passion for music and I know she's going to go far with it.

One of the things my hubby and I were talking about recently is how music and singing can be very calming and also a great outlet. I know right now it's all in the name of fun, but a few years down the road I can see this singing and music passion being a way for our girl to channel her feelings and emotions.

I was in the middle of vacuuming this morning when I saw her busting her gut blowing the trumpet! I just had to stop and snap these shots of her.

  1. She looks like a real trumpet player, with those puffed out cheeks! The hat totally pulls of the musician look too. I had our Lilah in Music for Young Children and she did really well, she is very musical too and I will put her back into in the Fall, after she recovers from her surgeries.

  3. @ Lea: Her footware are clog slippers from Holland. Some of our Irish friends brought them home for her when they were visiting. They are so cute on her!

  10. I just want to say, we don't know each other but I hope it is okay that I used the pics of your daughter on my website www.torahtrendy.com to promote home worship of our Heavenly Father! She is just so adorable and I congratulate you on your effort to adopt! My husband and I are currently in MAPP classes to do the same thing but domestic adoption. Email me at lilyamongthorns@torahtrendy.com if you ever need anything or if it was a problem to use the photos. May Yahweh bless you and your family!
