My great-grandfather was married in the Mourne Presbyterian Church in Kilkeel and came to Canada in 1833. We refer to them as the Mourne Moores to distinguish them from the many other branches of the Moore family (Mure, Moor, O'More, More). He was Charles Moore; his wife, Mary Sally McGibbin. They settled just outside Fredericton, NB.
Until today, I had never seen photographs of the region and am stunned by the beauty of the mountains. Thank you for sharing them.
