first snow fall

It's beginning to look a lot like winter, here in Ottawa. Yesterday evening we got our first light coating of snow this season. And there's a bit more than a light coating due tomorrow, in fact they're calling it a 'big snowstorm', with up to 20cms of white fluff.

I guess the mild weather (we were experiencing ...and loving) could only last so long!

Anyway, it must be the nice ease into winter that has helped Lilah this year. I took her out last night to experience the first snowfall of the season and gave her the little snow shovel I bought her at the dollar store. She had so much fun. Can you believe it, she laughed so hard when I threw a snowball at her, aiming just for her jacket of course! She kept saying, "Do it again, do it again"! Funny girl. I think we're going to have a lot more fun this winter!

  1. It is good to teach them young how to shovel the walks.... someday you won't have to! Snow is fun... we just got 20cm too, now the temp is too cold to enjoy it! But, it makes it feel like Christmas.

Stop by when you have a chance. There's a surprise waiting for you. :)

  3. So cute! Might as well teach her how to do all of those chores that you'd rather not do while she's still young enough to enjoy them.

  6. Lilah is so adorable as always! Congrats on winning the bookplates - the design I picked as my favorite reminds me of your blog! We just got our first big snow storm here in the midwest U.S. Blessings, Wendy
